This dress is an hourglass shape, and because of the thicker fabric, the French seams do not lay flat. This makes the sides of the garment stick out sideways, creating the impression of jodhpurs. It was a very unflattering silhouette on me. Very disappointing because I liked the fabric a lot and the dress didn't look like this in the pictures. Originally posted on www.boden.co.uk
