The dress is beautiful and very forgiving hiding all lumps and bumps and has a thick elasticated waist but it is hidden within the dress so it doesn’t look elasticated. The elasticated waist means you could lose or gain a few pounds and get away with it. It is lined and very heavy making it suitable for the colder months and I would say the flowers are not as bright as they look in the picture which in my opinion makes it pretty but not overpowering. I am 5ft 6 and it touches the floor on me but I am leaving it like that it is for my daughters wedding and I like it that long
