I'm actually really disappointed with these shoes. NEXT sell these in other others for small children's sizes and I've bought 2 different pairs for my daughter before. It was on this basis that I decided to get the school pair. Unfortunately the school pair have a velcro fastening rather than the buckle as on the other coloured ones. Granted it does say in the details of the shoe that there is a 'touch close fastening', however I didn't feel a need to read that given the shoes appeared to be exactly the same as the coloured ones.
