Thread in headboard was full of weld or braise so had to be cleared to be able to fit decorative balls. Captive inserts in footboards were full of paint and unfinished so needed to be tapped out to be able to screw in side sectionsBolt heads where Alan key inserts supplied are too soft Washers were not suitable, we had to buy better quality washers to prevent metal squeak Otherwise the bed is very nice but if my husband wasn’t able to resolve these problems it would have had to be returned
