Great fit, and they look good sitting on hiking boots. Can tighten round ankles as desired. Length is just right and don't feel baggy like typical hiking trousers. Haven't tested water resistance yet but material feels technical enough to give some repellence, it's thin, light and breathable, also holds its shape so not wafer thin and floppy. Air breathing thigh pockets / vents are a bonus at this price point.
