This is not a wax burner. I put a next small wax on it and tea light under in the designated place. The top is not deep enough to be a wax burner and it went over the edge. Luckily I had put this in the bathroom as had it been on anything wood etc., it would have caused a lot of damage.I am in the process of returning this.

Looks lovely. Very easy to clean out the wax melts.
Smaller than the one I replaced but very effective and looks great. The Gingerbread wax melts are perfect in it. Would recommend.
